Taryn Marchant and Patrick O'Leary 

Goodwin Chivas & Co are delighted to announce the following new appointments, which are effective from 1 July 2014:

Taryn Marchant - Partner
Taryn joined Goodwin Chivas & Co in 2001 and became a partner in 2014. She has over 15 years experience in professional services ranging across a wide range of business sizes, including large private groups representing a diverse range of industries and services. She is proactively involved with high level taxation planning and structuring including the use of Self Managed Superannuation Funds, and operational advice for clients.

Taryn has extensive experience with both Aged Care and Child Care operators, servicing both their accounting and taxation needs along with interpreting the relevant Legislative framework.

Taryn has also specialised in Transaction Advisory Services, focusing on the financial, tax, risk and operational considerations related to buying and selling business assets. This experience can assist any client that is considering the sale and or purchase of a business either now or planned in the future.

Patrick O'Leary – Partner Financial Planning
Patrick joined GCC Financial Planning in 2012 and has been providing clients with personal advice for over 13 years. His career began in accounting primarily in the area of personal tax. In 2001 he switched to providing financial advice solely for a small accounting firm in North Sydney. In 2005 he joined a large independent advisory firm based in the CBD focusing more on retirement planning, with a focus on superannuation, and investment advice. This focus has allowed Patrick to assist clients through their working lives in preparation for, transitioning to and enjoying their retirement.

Outside of work Patrick has a keen love of rugby and is waiting for the day when Australia will again hold the Bledisloe Cup.
