Garry has been in public practice as a Chartered Accountant since 1973. During this time, he has been involved in all aspects of business services, tax, superannuation and structuring.

In 1995, Garry commenced the financial planning division of the practice which provides the additional services to our client base covering wealth creation and protection, estate planning, financial goal achievement and retirement planning.

Garry’s area of expertise includes providing high wealth individuals and their businesses with solutions for future development and long term success and in many cases being part of a management team to regularly meet and review results and achievements.

Wayne Chivas
B.Com CA

Wayne has had extensive experience in both public practice and the commercial field for a large part of his career.

He previously worked for the highly respected accounting firm Greenwood Challoner & Co before undertaking several years in commerce and subsequently running his own hospitality businesses.

In 1987, Wayne commenced his accounting practice and in 1989 joined Garry Goodwin to form Goodwin Chivas & Co.

By drawing on skills developed both in commerce and public practice and more recently in running successful businesses in property development and construction, Wayne is able to bring balanced advice to clients.

Wayne’s expertise is being able to assist clients using his management skills to better run their businesses, improve profitability, identity strengths and weaknesses and provide strategic guidance in achieving business and personal goals.

Nick Zoras
B.Bus CPA JP

Nick joined Goodwin Chivas & Co in 1993 and was appointed a Partner in 2000.

Nick’s expertise in taxation and accounting is only surpassed by his passion for helping business clients grow their business, create wealth, seize a business opportunity and meet any potential issues along with way.

Nick specialises in GST, property transactions, strategic planning, business development and restructuring and general taxation issues.

Nick’s role as an advisor has always been more than numbers.  He is very passionate about the role he plays with clients and understands the importance of being part of their management group, including being part of a team, strategising an opportunity and making that opportunity happen.

Gavin Hilton
B.Com CA

Gavin has worked at Goodwin Chivas & Co since 1996 and was appointed a partner in July 2003.  Gavin specialises on the issues of business structuring, taxation planning and superannuation.  His experience in these areas allows his business advice to cover all aspects from start-up, growth through to succession planning.

Gavin places great value on the client relationship.  He is proactive, easily accessible and responsive to his client needs.

The core focus and strategies revolve around the clients building a net worth outside of their business operations.  A wholelistic view.

Wayne Pobje
B.Com CA, Registered Company Auditor, SPAA SMSF Specialist Auditor

Wayne has worked previously for KPMG Chartered Accountants for 11 years specialising in providing audit and assurance services across a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, mining, import and distribution, the hotel industry and non-profit organisations.  Before joining Goodwin Chivas & Co in 2007, Wayne also worked for two years with Woolworths as the Big W Finance Manager.

Wayne has extensive experience in auditing Self Managed Superannuation Funds and became a registered SPAA SMSF Specialist Auditor in 2009.

Wayne has been a Partner at Goodwin Chivas & Co since 2008.
